Meadow View Dark Sky Observatory

 Located just minutes from Bernard

    This secluded observing area is available to the Guests of Bobcat Cottage Only. 

    The six-foot dome houses a 5” Astrophysics refractor, described by “The Backyard Astronomer’s Guide", as “the dream machine”. Guests tours from under the dome are by special arrangement subject to weather and Peter's availabilty.


   The Open observing area and has storage for several other telescopes including a 4 1/2" starblast for use by guests.  Located on a ledge overlooking the meadow and surrounding forest, the observatory has some of the darkest skies on this side of the Island.
